An informative and educative Antenatal workshop by LifeCell International for expectant mothers in Coimbatore (Coimbatore, August 29, 2009)

The workshop educated the expectant mothers on the essentials of the pregnancy, namely: Diet intake, nutritional requirements of the body, exercise, labour, delivery and postnatal care. Various myths regarding pregnancy were busted and queries of the curious parents were addressed, at the workshop. The specialist demonstrated essential ‘pelvic exercises’ for muscle relaxation and also discussed hormonal and behavioral changes. She also highlighted the virtue of walking 30 minutes daily for pregnant women. The attendees were also intimated regarding the importance and benefits of cord blood stem cell banking.
