LifeCell International hosted an Exclusive Antenatal Workshop in Hyderabad at Taj Banjara

Hyderabad, January 24, 2010: The early stages of pregnancy can often be a time of many emotions, questions and concerns; a professional advice and knowledge sharing session is a must need to ease off this state. LifeCell International, India’s pioneer stem cell banking company held an antenatal program for expectant Couples at Taj Banjara, Hyderabad on January 24, 2010. The session was conducted by Ms. Rekha Sudarsan, Physocologist, child birth educator and lactation consultant who is an expert trainer for mothers-to-be in pregnancy management from 2.00 to 6.00 pm.

Owing to the nuclear family structure which is popular in metros today, pregnant women are devoid of clear and right advice on how to handle pregnancy, from their elders.

The educational prenatal program shared tips and tools for the to-be-moms on the care and precautions that are needed before, during and post pregnancy to ensure good health of both mother and the child. The program gave an overview about pregnancy, and discussed about varied topics related to pregnancy like hormonal changes, diet, nutrition and shared tips on maintaining a healthy outlook during pregnancy. The workshop also emphasized on the benefits of breast feeding and routine exercises and included sessions on birth preparation, handling fear of labor besides sharing tips for normal delivery with the participants.

Various myths regarding pregnancy were busted and queries of the curious parents were addressed, at the workshop. The specialist demonstrated complicated ‘pelvic exercises’ for muscle relaxation and also discussed hormonal and behavioral changes. She also highlighted the virtue of walking 30 minutes daily for pregnant women. The attendees were also educated regarding the importance and benefits of cord blood stem cell banking for their child which is once in a life time opportunity for them to secure their baby’s future health. The participant were highly impressed and satisfied from the workshop and more so by knowing the simplicity of the stem cell banking procedure and realizing that such a novel technology is today easily accessible at an affordable price.
