LifeCell International hosts Great Expectations show in Delhi(Delhi, December 19, 2009)

"Expecting mothers experienced a new art of living pregnancy"

LifeCell International presented the Great Expectations, an interactive and entertaining experience exclusively for expecting moms in Delhi. The show encompassed diverse aspects of pregnancy and showcased the new style of living and enjoying Pregnancy. The show was conceptualized and put together by Live Events and LifeCell International along with experts from various fields including Fortis La Femme, Mom & Me, and Del Monte.

Great Expectations was created with aim of serving the pregnant women an exclusive platform to come together and share their intricate experiences during this changing phase of their life. Keeping in mind all aspects of changes that a women undergoes during this period the show was conceptualized to be a complete infotainment opportunity for the participants to come and live a day completely dedicated to them and simultaneously discuss and resolve their queries regarding diet, exercises, dos and don’ts during pregnancy with the experts. The Great Expectations was a blend of interactive contests, discussions on stem cell banking, Documentary screening, Fashion shows for the moms to be, live cookery demonstration, creative and exciting games made this occasion blissful and memorable for every expecting mother.

Speaking about the event, Mr. Mayur Abhaya, President & Executive Director, LifeCell International said, “We are glad to present The Great Expectations Show, a novel event designed exclusively for expectant mothers. Pregnancy touches a women’s life in many aspects, be it physical features, food habits, daily routine and even the wardrobe changes completely. So we decided to join hands with experts from various fields to bring together an event that is a complete bouquet of education, interaction and entertainment for the expectant mothers. The response was tremendously motivating. We are overwhelmed to see so much enthusiasm amongst the participants and we hope to host and partake in many such events.”

LifeCell International shared an expert presentation on the benefits of umbilical cord stem cell banking and guided the expectant mothers on how simple it is to secure their baby’s future health against 75 serious ailments. A documentary film on Thalassemia (Major) being cured with sibling’s cord blood stem cell transplantation was also showcased at the venue. This gave the audiences a complete feel on the critical role that umbilical cord blood stem cell is gaining in today’s medical science.

The expectant moms enthusiastically participated in interesting mix of discussions and engaging sessions with the renowned gynecologist Ms Tripat Choudhary, physiotherapist Ms Anita Sharma and Neonatologist Mr Raghu Mallaih associated with Fortis La Femme who answered all myths and queries pertaining to pregnancy.

Some gorgeous pregnant women fascinated the audiences as they walked the ramp flaunting the Active Wear, Eveningwear & Dresses, Casual and Sleepwear for the moms to be. The fashion show was organized by Mom & Me with an endeavor to bring lot of fun, glamour and delight in the lives of pregnant women.

Culinary partners of the event, Del Monte, which is one of the country’s leading Global suppliers of healthful, wholesome and nutritious foods to consumers for all ages, hosted a live culinary session and gave inputs on nutritious and right food for expecting moms. The session was much appreciated by the participants as they found it very useful.
